In the UbiSim Editor, you have the ability to record and upload your own dialogues when creating or editing a scenario.
You can easily upload any existing dialogues or record a new set of dialogues:
1. In the Scenario tab Under 'Shared Modules,' you can see the '+Add Dialog Set' option:
2. Click the '+Add Dialog Set' button. A window will open with options to record, upload, and add animations to each line.
You can name your dialogue, assign it to different categories such as: patient frequent, physician, or another character in the room if there is one:
You'll see a list of suggested lines as well.
Please note: you will still need to record the dialogue; however, the prompts are there to standardize the process. The prompts need to be as clear as possible for the facilitator to be able to use them as a queue:
It's most important that you listen to your recording and clip the dead space before/after the words. If not, then the patient's mouth will move for a few seconds before and after the actual words begin:
For External Audio:
1. Install Audacity.
2. Select and cut all extra silence so the audio starts immediately and there is no extra silence at the end of the file. Select the part you would like to delete on the track and press the Del key.
3. Use Export → Multiple.
Important Note: WAV is the only file supported at this time.
