How to facilitate a session (Link Cable)
Updated over a year ago

You don't need to be in VR or have a headset on in order to facilitate a session.

Prior to starting a scenario as a facilitator, please ensure to review your options.

You can launch as a facilitator, like so:

When you enter the session as a facilitator, you will see a 3D view of the room.

You can then trigger dialogues by simply clicking on the dialogue box visible on the left-hand side of your screen and then choosing your line accordingly.

As a facilitator, you can choose from 4 different points of view by simply clicking on the camera icon at the top of the page.

Students can join a session from the same computers or from different computers.

If you are using the same computer for participants:

One person starts a scenario while being connected via a cable and the other person can act as a facilitator by enabling/triggering the dialogues from the bottom of the page on the desktop view on myubisimvr.com.

Once you're in the VR room: if you take off your headset and look at your computer, you'll see a view of the room, etc., mirroring what's seen in your headset as well as the dialogue options.

As one student is immersed in the scenario, another student or faculty can play the role of the patient based on prerecorded dialog and actions.

Here is a short video showing these features in action:
