You will need at least one computer and one VR headset to experience UbiSim.
The hardware requirements are listed below.
Standalone (i.e. wireless) Headsets
UbiSim is compatible with the following headsets:
* While the Meta Quest Pro is no longer available directly from Meta, the headset can be procured through 3rd party vendors.
The Meta Quests are the newer family of headsets, and they can be used wirelessly. The UbiSim app can be installed by going to the Meta Store, and searching 'UbiSim applab':
Press the UbiSim app icon, then press the blue 'Download' button:
It does not matter whether you choose a headset that has 128 GB or 256 GB of memory. As long as it is a Meta Quest headset, UbiSim will be able to run.
For facilitating sessions, the specifications for the computer are as follows:
Processor: Dual-core 2 GHz or higher
RAM: 4 GB or more
Graphics card: anything that is not very old
OS: Latest version of Windows (64-bit) or Mac OS or ChromeOS
Google Chrome
A stable internet Connection - a connection that can handle a Skype call without video (just audio).
Steps on how to check your Windows System Information and Mac System Information
If you are looking for future-proof computers, the following specifications would be better:

Only the latest version of Chrome is officially supported.
Internet Requirements
A stable internet connection is needed to use UbiSim.
The internet bandwidth requirements are similar to the standard usage such as browsing the Internet. Only text data and voice data (if the multiplayer mode or the Web View is used) are transferred on the network. The 3D rendering is done on the laptop (PC version) or headset (standalone version) itself and does not impact network traffic.
During a typical 15 minute session, only 50-100 MB of data go through the network if either multiplayer (with voice) or the Web View is used. The data exchanged is mostly voice streaming data and the usage is similar to a Skype call without video.
For multiplayer or Web View, we recommend allocating 100kbps of bandwidth per active VR headset.
💡 Please note that a stable internet connection is needed to ensure a proper experience, just like communication software needs a stable connection. An unstable connection might especially affect the multiplayer sessions.
UbiSim updates are downloaded through the network and can be up to 800 MB for each new large update but are generally around 50-100 MB.
Please note that these system requirements are subject to change.
