There are a few options:
1. Peer-to-Peer Learning - With another student or an instructor
Peer learning allows you and a peer to work through simulations independently. You or your peer is immersed in the scenario while the other is playing the role of the patient based on prerecorded dialog and animations.
Watch this video to see an example of a peer collaboration session:
2. Classroom setting- Faculty lead
You are in VR while what you see is projected in real-time projection on a larger screen for observers, followed by a group debrief. This mirrors current modes of sim delivery allowing peer contributions to scenarios as well as faculty debrief.
3. Multiplayer
The multiplayer mode of UbiSim allows you to train with other students, as a team, together, in the same scenario and care for the same virtual patient. The controls remain the same. You will be able to join a multiplayer session by looking in the sessions section and then active multiplayer sessions.
4. Individual Learning
UbiSim can be implemented on an individual basis, as you work through simulations independently to develop autonomous clinical decision-making skills. Faculty can set up UbiSim in a dedicated room with open access or a sign-in system.
